Hello!
Hello, and welcome to my website!
My name is Colton Michale Brown, and I’m a 17-year-old junior at the Academy of Arts Careers and Technology (AACT) enrolled in the MBA High School of Business Academy. Everything I do—whether it’s acting, teaching, or serving my community—is rooted in a simple yet powerful goal: to make a better world for all to benefit.
As a local actor, director, and playwright, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with theater companies like Reno Little Theater, Theater Works of Northern Nevada, and Music With Confidence. My passion for storytelling earned me recognition as the Best Youth Actor in Northern Nevada at the Truckee Meadows Filmfest in 2016, and it continues to fuel my creative work today.
In addition to performing, I’m deeply committed to empowering young minds through education. As the Marking Director, Camp Director, and Instructor for Music With Confidence, I create original lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of every child I work with. Currently, I’m spearheading a community service project that uses the arts to enhance mental health resources for elementary school students—a cause I believe is essential for building a brighter future.
I’m also proud to serve as an active member and leader in Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) like Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and SkillsUSA, where I’ve earned numerous accolades, including first place gold at the 2023-2024 FCCLA State Leadership Conference, fourth place gold at the 2023-2024 FCCLA National Leadership Conference, and second place in Entrepreneurship at the 2022-2023 SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference. I am also the Event Coordinator and Community Engagement Officer and member for the National Art Honor Society (NAHS) at AACT.
Giving back has always been a central part of my life. I volunteer with the Salvation Army, the Rotary Club of Sparks, and local nonprofits, dedicating my time to projects that uplift others and strengthen the community.
